During the lifetime of the Inquiry, thousands of victims and survivors helped shape its work by sharing their experiences of child sexual abuse with the Truth Project, providing evidence during investigations, contributing to research and engaging with the Victims and Survivors Forum.
Their views and experiences were pivotal in building a clearer picture of the extent of child sexual abuse, its impact on victims and survivors, and what needs to change to help prevent it happening in future. Every contribution mattered, and helped to inform the Inquiry’s recommendations to government and other institutions.
